A Touch of Loving Kindness for Those in Need…

Over the past few weeks, the news has been reporting horrific unrest in the world. In particular, there has been suffering in France after the attacks that took place. I would like to invite you to keep France, the victims of the attack, and anyone who might be living in an environment of turmoil in your practice for a full day during this week.

Perhaps, it might be beneficial to send out loving kindness towards all people who are suffering due to war or any form of fighting. For those of you with an established sitting practice, once you have settled and grounded, place your hands on your heart and bring to mind any person/people who may be living in an area of conflict and unrest. Then recite the words, ‘May you be safe, May you be well, May you live with ease and May you find peace’.

For those of you who are new to mindfulness practice, simply take three deep breaths and really feel each breath as it enters your airways and as you exhale. Then close your eyes, place your hands on your heart and bring to mind any person/people who may be living in an area of conflict and unrest. Then recite the words, ‘May you be safe, May you be well, May you live with ease and May you find peace’.
