I do the three minute breathing space during the day whenever I feel things building up. It helps ground me and bring me back to the present.
I also have started to write down things which seem to get knotted up inside, putting them into a kind of journal, and this sometimes helps bring clarity, and also can alert me to moods, patterns of behaviour, areas which may need attention when I can devote a more formal kind of meditation to them.
