			<p>As we move into April, we can begin to notice the shoots and tendrils of Spring!  The weather changes, flowers emerge and a feeling of renewal and begins emerges.</p>
<p>Our monthly mindfulness calendar takes the theme of “New Beginnings, Beginners Mind” and has 30 prompts to help you try new things and approach familiar aspects of life with conscious awareness.</p>
<p>You can download a PDF of this calendar, so you always have the mindfulness prompts to hand!</p>

<p>Sometimes stress has a way of sneaking up on us. Our mindfulness calendar this month gives us an opportunity each day to pay attention, to become present and aware with the habits of our minds and bodies and to notice if we are moving into a stress zone.</p>
<p>Follow the prompts on the calendar each day to check in; by checking in with curiosity and care, we become better at responding to the affects of stress that sometimes go unnoticed.</p>
<p>How am I feeling in this moment? How is my breath? Am I tense or relaxed? Is this a pattern when this particular thing happens?</p>

<p><em>Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu,</em></p>
<p><em>When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too. </em></p>
<p><em>I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin.</em></p>
<p><em>When he smiled I realized I&#8217;d passed it on to him.</em></p>
<p><em>I thought about that smile, then I realized its worth.</em></p>
<p><em>A single smile, just like mine could travel round the earth.</em></p>
<p><em>So, if you feel a smile begin, don&#8217;t leave it undetected.</em></p>
<p><em>Let&#8217;s start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!</em></p>

<p>Smiling with your eyes sends signals to your internal soothing system helping to calm our nervous system right down. So this month we encourage youto &#8216;smile with your eyes&#8217;, even if it is just at the cat!</p>
<p>A prompt every day will get you on track, and you know smiling is infectious, you might make someone&#8217;s day.</p>
