I first heard this poem last year about this time in October where my then therapist read it to me. It is such a beautifully worded, rich, deep, heartfelt, thought provoking poem. It touched me to my core and it made my heart kinda ache. And yes there were some tears also as I didn’t just hear the words but I felt them. And I want to say thank you for sharing such a lovely wonderful gift with us! For some reason I remembered it today and I had to look you up and read it and it touched me soo much today on the same way as when I heard it first time last year. Eagerly looking to find a way to obtain a copy of FHIS to keep and also see what other treasures you may have written that I have yet to discover. Peace and Abundant Blessings and Joy,

What a magnificent poem The Invitation is. I am 83 and just published a 1980s historical novel, Her Soldier of the Queen (amazon.com). i am American and the story is about a love affair with a British SAS officer, combat and war, passion and despair, sorrow.
Learn from the drama.
This makes me wish I could live my life over with that mindset.
