Autumn Members Weekend
Mindfulness in Daily Life
16-18 October 2026
Led by Alan Hughes and Tina Gilbert – With Guest Tutors
This weekend will be an opportunity for us to come together online as a community – to reconnect with old friends, meet new people, and enjoy the warmth and support of practising together.
As well as plenty of time for us to practice together, we will also have a variety of teaching sessions covering a range of topics, including Neurodiversity, Cultivating Patience, Digital Detox, Mindfulness-Based Spiritual Practice, How Mindfulness Enables us to Flourish and a special session with Fay – Doorways to the Sacred: Poems as Spiritual Wayfinders – Received mindfully, a poem can spiritually catapult, melt or illuminate us.
The general theme for the weekend is “Mindfulness in Daily Life” and each tutor will bring their own interpretation of what this might mean to them. Reflecting this, the weekend will cover a variety of topics, from the sacred to the everyday.
You are very welcome to join us for the whole weekend, starting with the Daily Sit, at 7pm on Friday evening, which will provide an introduction to the weekend. Alternatively, you can simply come along to whichever sessions appeal to you.
