Neurodivergent Peer Practice Session – Wednesdays
The Mindfulness Association Neurodivergent Practice Group is an established monthly practice group for members of the Mindfulness Association who identify as neurodivergent or are exploring whether a neurodivergent profile is relevant to them.
** We are welcoming new members until the end of November. **
Neurodivergence is an umbrella term that refers to brains that process experiences differently, and covers conditions such as autism and ADHD. As more is understood about these conditions, many adults are becoming curious about whether they fall within a neurodivergent profile.
We want to create a safe informal space that is inclusive to people who might have a different experience of mindfulness and related practices due to neurodivergence. There is an ever-expanding online resource for mindfulness and neurodivergence which we can draw on to inform our exploration.
In the group, we will strive to maintain a neurodivergent-affirmative and non-judgemental attitude to support a compassionate journey of exploration and sharing.
Wednesdays with Elanor
The group is facilitated by Elanor Kortland (a Trustee for a young people’s learning difficulty charity, trained in neurodiversity-informed mindfulness by Su Hutton, and experienced in teaching neurodivergent individuals through The Everyone Project). Elanor is passionate about helping people honor their authentic selves by tailoring mindfulness and compassion practices to individual needs.
It provides a space for neurodivergent mindfulness practitioners to practise together, reflect together, and connect with one another to draw on shared lived experience within a supportive, well-held and ethically grounded environment.
Do please join us on our compassionate journey!
We will meet online on the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm.
The next dates are:
– Wednesday 21st October 2026
– Wednesday 18th November 2026
– Wednesday 16th December 2026.
Membership is open to Mindfulness Association members who identify as neurodivergent or have a neurodivergent diagnosis. Whether you’re newly arrived in the Mindfulness Association community or have been practising or teaching for many years, we’d be delighted to welcome you.
The Neurodivergent Practice Group is currently open to new members until the end of November, after which the group will return to a closed membership model to maintain stability and connection.
