Words of WonderI-many-times-thought-Peace-had-come---Emily-Dickinson

I many times thought Peace had come

When peace was far away,

As wrecked men deem they sight the land

When far at sea they stay.

And struggle slacker, but to prove,

As hopelessly as I,

That many the fictitious shores

Before the harbour lie.

I had a fleeting moment when reflecting on the state of the world and my personal journey, of how comfort can be sought in all the wrong places. However, it is the difficulty that shapes us, in the same way the lotus needs the mud to blossom. And finally we find our solace when we can rest again, and appreciate, as we reach our own harbours in life.

Take care everyone

Warm wishes

Jacky
