The proliferation of screen-based technology has been an amazing technological revolution. It has enabled us to connect with others all over the world at the touch of a screen. It has infiltrated and changed every aspect of our life, personal, professional, commercial – even romantic. But it has come at a cost.
Whilst we are more in touch than ever, we have lost real connection. We interact differently, often one eye on a screen as we talk to others. We are distracted and removed from the immediacy of life each time we unlock and scroll. And it is taking a huge toll on our mental and physical wellbeing.
It is time for some balance, to foster deeper connection not only with ourselves and our lives, but also the others who often become a backdrop to our endless screen engagement.
This mindfulness course helps us look at why we engage so much with devices and helps us get back to the present moment, allowing us to build connectivity, authenticity and improve our wellbing.
