Words of WonderBapuji Says – Swami Kripalvananda

My beloved child,
break your heart no longer.
Each time you judge yourself
you break your own heart.

You stop feeding on the love,
which is the wellspring of your vitality.
The time has come, your time
To live, to celebrate…
and to see the goodness that you are…

Let no one, no thing, no idea or ideal obstruct you
If one comes, even in the name of “Truth”,
forgive it for its unknowing

Do not fight
Let go
And breathe – into the goodness that you are.

These words have the ability to touch me deeply. I read them first in Tara Brach’s Radical Acceptance and a quick search on the net shows me that it’s been shared many times, in slightly different versions.

Chris Germer asked the question on a retreat: “What do you need to hear?” Well, this. The reminder that it’s not necessary to judge myself, to break my own heart yet again. That there’s goodness in me, moreover, that I am goodness and that I can breathe into that… And said in this ancient voice with wise eyes that have seen it all before, that see the innocence of my habitual patterns and know that I am more than that. We all are. We only have to remember… what Bapuji says.
