Words of Wonderchange

Change
Said the sun to the moon,
You cannot stay.

Change
Says the moon to the waters,
All is flowing.

Change
Says the fields to the grass,
Seed-time and harvest,
Chaff and grain.

You must change said,
Said the worm to the bud,
Though not to a rose,

Petals fade
That wings may rise
Borne on the wind.

You are changing
said death to the maiden, your wan face
To memory, to beauty.

Are you ready to change?
Says the thought to the heart, to let her pass
All your life long

For the unknown, the unborn
In the alchemy
Of the world’s dream?

You will change,
says the stars to the sun,
Says the night to the stars.

We are constantly reminded of impermanence and our attachments to people and things as changes come and go in our lives. We all go through small changes on a daily basis, and we often flow with those.  But the big life changes can rock our very being if we aren’t mindful.

Mindfulness and compassion practices are very important throughout periods of change.  With mindfulness and curiosity we are aware of how changes make us feel and we can bring in self compassion to nurture us as we transition. With practice we are able to reach a place of acceptance of what is and curiosity to what might be as the transition takes place.

I wish you well through any changes happening to you now or this year.

Warmest wishes
