Spring Membership Retreat – For MA Members
Spring Mindfulness Retreat
Stillness and Smiles
For MA Members
1-6 March 2024
With Jacky SeerySometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes · Because of your smile, you make life more beautiful. – Thich Nhat Hanh. This retreat will allow space for us to be still and silent. How often do we stop, rest and be still? We will also be bringing some compassion into our practice with compassion practices such as self kindness, body scans and taking in the good. We will be bringing a smile into our practice, recognising how a smile is a 2 way thing. As Thich Nhat Hanh says – a smile can be the source of joy but also spread joy. With some mindful movement with gentle yoga and qigong integrated into the retreat we will nurture and take care of ourselves as we embrace the change of the season into Spring.
Retreat offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen our mindfulness practice, step out of our daily routines, and recharge our batteries. This five-day retreat will include guided practices and teachings on mindfulness, although the focus will be on our personal practice. It will be assumed that participants have some previous experience of mindfulness or meditation, so the retreat is not suitable for complete beginners. This retreat is open to all members of the Mindfulness Association. We will encompass sessions from the membership weekend beginning on the evening of Friday 1st March and continue from Sunday afternoon until lunchtime on Wednesday 6th March 2024.
